Things to consider to make it a good Westfest day
- The event has a “No Carry Out Policy” There will be 100% searches by security staff for alcohol on entry, please don’t bring your own drink as it will be disposed of at the gate.
- Any alcohol on site, not purchased from the bars, will be disposed of and you may be asked to leave. Do not take alcohol purchased at Westfest outside the fenced area
- Dundee by-laws prohibit alcohol drinking in open areas – this is the reason for the security arrangements and the perimeter fencing
- There is no organised parking, park legally and considerately, residents and emergency vehicles need access
- Walk to the Green or go by bus – see the travel plan for more info
- Don’t leave litter, use the bins provided or take it home!
- Think positively that it will be sunny, and remember the sun screen!
- Get young children to carry your phone number – if lost someone can call you. Child Safety Wrist bands are available from the Westfest Information Point
- Encourage the entertainment, participate in what’s happening {sing and dance, its free}
- Don’t bring flammable goods such as barbecues to the festival, we want to reduce accidents
- No Balloons or Sky Lanterns are permitted on the site
- Festival site – Identify where the Information Tent – First Aid and the Lost/Found areas are
- If you are bringing a dog along, please be considerate of others and keep it on a lead
